Berrak Dyer studied for her undergraduate in Piano, and then completed her masters in Piano Accompaniment with a first at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama under the tutelage of Caroline Palmer and Andrew West. She has worked on projects with Ian Burnside, Graham Johnson, and worked with Laura Sarti extensively. She then went on to study at the National Opera Studio.
Berrak has traveled widely throughout Europe, England, Cyprus and Turkey, taking part in competitions and giving concerts. Her most notable concerts being in Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, St John’s Smith Square, St Martin in the Fields, Gumusluk (Turkey) and St. Peter & St.Sigfrid’s (Stockholm). Berrak took part in the Barbirolli Competition, and was the winner of the Aria Competition at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Berrak has performed with Chelsea Opera Group, Charities Philharmonia, Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra, Commonwealth Youth Orchestra. She has performed in the Wigmore Hall Lecture Recital Series with Julian Philips, City of London Festival and has worked as an Accompanist at Oxenfoord International Summer School 2012 and 2016, 2017 and return in 2018. She has also played for masterclasses with Joyce DiDonato at the Royal Opera House.
In April 2012 Berrak joined the Solti Academy for Repetiteur’s in Italy where she worked with Pamela Bullock, Audrey Hyland, Tony Legge and Jonathan Papp. After which she was invited to the Georg Solti Academy for Singers as a repetiteur for masterclasses with Dennis O'Neill and Angela Gheorghiu.
Berrak debuted as a repetiteur on Mozart’s The Magic Flute (Hampstead Garden Opera). Since then she has gone on to work on Britten’s The Rape of Lucretia (British Youth Opera) with Peter Robinson, Viktor Ullmann’s Der Kaiser von Atlantis (Grimeborn), Idomeneo (Forest Bird Productions), Handel’s Furioso (Grimeborn), Captain Blood’s Revenge, Five Death's and a Happy Ending (Glyndebourne), Hansel and Gretel (Opera in Space), Glyndebourne Youth Opera, Lucia di Lammermoor, Un Ballo in Maschera (Winslow Hall Opera), The Snowmaiden, Amadis de Gaule, Aroldo (University college Opera), La Fanciulla del West, Lakme, La Cenerentola, Iris, La Boheme, Die Fledermaus, Queen of Spades, Don Giovanni, La Rondine (Opera Holland Park), Cosi fan Tutte, Die Entführung aus dem Serail, L'Italiana in Algeri, I Capuleti ed I Montecchi, Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Il Matrimonio Segreto, Hänsel und Gretel (Pop-Up Opera, Musical Director), Le Nozze di Figaro (Kilden Performing Arts Centre, Musical Director and Assistant Conductor), Carmen (Opera Up Close, Musical Director), Snow (The Opera Story), Sukanya, Return of Ulysses (Royal Opera House). For the rest of this year Berrak continues with Pop-Up Opera on Hänsel und Gretel, Bastien und Bastienne, Der Schauspieldirektor, La Tregédie de Carmen, returns to Opera Holland Park for work with the Chorus on Isabeau and The Opera Story on Goldilocks and The Three Little Pigs. She joins The Royal Opera House as répétiteur on Psychosis 4.48 and Welsh National Opera as Assistant Conductor on Rhhonda Rips It Up.
