Joseph Doody

Joseph Doody hails from West Yorkshire, and read music at Edinburgh University before completing a Masters in Performance at the Royal College of Music, where he studied with Tim Evans-Jones. Operatic experience includes the title roles in both Albert Herring and The Rake’s Progress, as well as Jupiter Semele, Basilio Le Nozze di Figaro (UK tour), Damon Acis and Galatea, and Pylade in Gluck’s Iphigénie en Tauride. Recent concert performances include Bach’s St John Passion with the choir of Somerville College, Oxford, Britten’s Serenade for Tenor Horn and Strings with Skipton Camerata, Carmina Burana at the Usher Hall, Edinburgh, and Mozart’s Requiem at St Martin-in-the-Fields. Joseph has sung with groups including the Dunedin Consort, Armonico Consort, and Britten Sinfonia Voices, at venues all over the UK and abroad. Upcoming projects include Rossini’s Stabat Mater, Ferrando Cosí fan tutte in France and the UK, and Ernesto in Don Pasquale at the Rye Arts Festival.
