Surrey born Soprano Laura Cheetham completed her Masters in Vocal Studies at The Royal Academy of Music, having graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She was subsequently as artist on English National Opera's Opera Works programme for young singers where she sang roles including Rodelina, Ilia and Cleopatra. Laura now studies with renowned soprano Nelly Miricioiu.
Laura made her professional debut in Opera Holland Park's production of Madame Butterfly. Other operatic roles include Helena in 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' (Surrey Opera), Casilda in 'The Gondoliers' and High Priestess in 'Aida' (Park Opera), Musette in 'La Boheme' and Fatima in 'Abu Hassan' (guildford Opera).
Recent concert work has included the Haydn Creation, Faure Requiem, as a soloist with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. She has also performed in a series of concerts in the spirit of a 19th Centruy Parisian salon, adopting the historic personal of Madame Viardot.
