Originally from Lowestoft, Nick graduated from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in 2011.
Nick attended the seven-week summer opera course held in Banff, Canada, where he made his operatic debut as ‘Peter Quint’ in the Benjamin Britten opera The Turn of the Screw as part of the annual Banff Summer Arts Festival. He recently played the role of ‘Rat’ in the newly-commissioned opera Fever Pitch, based on the novel by Nick Hornby, with Highbury Opera Theatre (HOT). Other roles include ‘Frederick’ and ‘Nanki Poo’ in The Pirates of Penzance and The Mikado respectively (National G&S) and ‘Tobias’ in Jonathan Dove’s Tobias and the Angel (HOT). He understudied the role of ‘Damon’ in Acis and Galatea under the late Sir Charles Mackerras at the Jubilee Hall in Aldeburgh.
As a soloist Nick has performed at the Barbican Hall, Wigmore Hall, St. John’s, Smith Square and on BBC Radio 3. As well as regularly performing with ‘Impropera’ – improvised opera - he has performed in two operas written specifically for babies and toddlers!
This year he is a featured soloist with the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO).
