Shropshire Music Season, Alington Hall, Shrewsbury

Since its first season in 1983-84 Shropshire Music Trust has brought the world's best live music to Shrewsbury and surrounding towns and villages: orchestral concerts to solo recitals, early music to cutting-edge contemporary work, workshops, masterclasses, lunchtime concerts, participation for young musicians.

Pop-up Opera are delighted to be included in this year's multitude of talent, performing at Shrewsbury School in The Alington Hall.

Venue Description:
Alington Hall is one of the many great buildings that makes up Shrewsbury School. It was built in 1905 and is a well-proportioned elegant hall complete with a large stage area and balcony – the hall is the largest of its kind in Shropshire (550 capacity) – and regularly hosts concerts, receptions, lectures and presentations.
